History: When Gwen was first weaned from her mother and brought to the stable, she seemed fine, always sneaking off around the property looking for new hiding places, etc. One day she came across a strange blue herb while grazing in a secluded field at the edge of the property. Not knowing any better, she began to eat the strange herb, and though it tasted quite repulsive, she found she was unable to stop. Later that day she returned back to the main ranch to meet with one of the other foals. As they were playing, Gwen brushed up against him, causing his skin to burn and break open into a painful rash. Luckily the foal was okay, but after a ranch hand came to get Gwen, she too had the rash and burns appear on her skin moments after touching her.
After multiple tests, it was discovered the herb Gwen had eaten had caused a mutation with the toxicate potion she had sneaked from the potions cabinet in the feed barn. This mutation causes Gwen's touch to be posionous, leaving painful burns and rashes anywhere Gwen touches another living thing, sometimes even resulting in death. The stable continued to look into the herb, trying to find any information on a cure, and found that though the herb is very addicting, if Gwen were to avoid eating it for a week, her poisonous touch would disappear. Though within the first few days, if the addicition did not cause Gwen to continue eating the herb, she would soon start to become ill, stop eating & drinking, hallucinate, etc., just trying to stop the affects could cause her to die. Not wanting to risk their beautiful mare's life, they continue to give her the herb with each meal.
Due to not being able to touch anyone, Gwen kept her distance from everyone, becoming a loner, usually hiding in the outer fields of the ranch. Her hair grew so long it is now dragging on the floor because she refuses to let anyone come near her in fear of hurting them. No one sees Gwen much, due to her avoiding all social contact not wanting to grow attached to someone and end up hurting them. The only way anyone can tell Gwen is near or to find her is to follow the path of dead plants left due to her hair dragging paths onto the ground.
