I hope everyone is having a good easter xD or hopefully at least better than mine.
Today, my friend Brittney and I decided to ride my 4 year old colt over to a new stable we're keeping him at cause it was only a few miles from where he was at to begin with and its such nice weather we figured it would do him some good.
And we made it most the way there, he did fine going by cars on fairly busy roads, other animals like horses and dogs, people, etc. But then just randomly flips shit over nothing.
Almost stayed on, but trying to pull myself back up freaked him out more so he jumped and spun another way. I almost got dragged because my foot got caught in the stirrup, but luckily I wear a size to big boots so I was able to just kick my foot out of it. I ended up falling on two giant rocks, one on my tailbone, the other on the middle of my back, and a huge pile of thorns.
Brittney had to chase my horse down the road since he headed back towards home which of course was back towards one of the main roads where he could've gotten ran over. I was stupid and just jumped back up, and hopped in my moms car cause she was following us and headed down to find him. Luckily he was ok, and an older couple who had seen me riding him earlier stopped our car and showed us where they saw him run.
We ended up walking him on foot back to his new stable in like 100 degree weather, me still covered in thorns and I hadn't even checked if anything was broken yet since I was still running on adrenaline. Luckily nothing was, but I am seriously hurting and I know its gunna be worse tomorrow. Then of course as we were walking, Drifter was scared shitless so everything freaked him out which was bad enough but then he ended up stepping in a spider hole thing and almost broke his ankle or got loose again when he flipped shit about that.
Then when we were literally like one house away from the new stable some bitches decided to fly right past him in their car texting and drinking Starbucks then turned around and did it again just to be even bigger assholes cause we flipped them off when they did it the first time.
We finally got him to the new stable, and into a pasture. But we ended up throwing the saddle on the fence for a minute until we got him situated so of course as I'm holding him about to let him loose he hits the saddle and jumps and flips shit pulling on my already hurt shoulders.
Just.... It has been an eventful Easter. Luckily I didn't break anything. But I can barely walk my back hurts so bad, I fucked up both my shoulders quite a bit, and pulled a muscle in my wrist... And all this happened in like 2 hours.
Just... Ugh. And now I have to deal with company coming over for dinner, and of course its peopel I readlly dont like and am not in the mood to deall with.
Well, I hope everyone's easter is going better than mine xD *end rant*
